FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK
Dear Parishioners,
This weekend kicks off the re-engagement of the One Heart One Soul Campaign here at St. John Parish. We are excited for the opportunity to pick up the effort again to reach our goals, complete our projects, and have so many of our parishioners back home to hear about the campaign for the first time. The good news is we’ve raised 58% toward our goal of $179000. With everyone’s participation, we can change this last, dreadful year into a hope-filled future.
Peace and blessings,
Fr. Andrew

NATIONAL DAY FOR TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION
In June, the Federal Government passed new legislation making September 30 the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This commemorates the history and ongoing trauma caused by residential schools and is intended to honour the survivors, families and communities who continue to grieve for those who were lost. Join us for Mass at 8:30 am on Friday Sept. 30 to continue to pray for the healing of our nation.

OCTOBER IS THE MONTH OF THE ROSARY
Please join us for Rosary prayers and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Friday evening, October 1. Time to be determined.

FUNERAL PREPLANNING
Please join us for an informal talk about Funeral Preplanning presented by Dignity Memorial on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 11:00 am in the St. John the Baptist Parish Hall. There will be a complimentary light lunch following the session. RSVP is not necessary. Licensed Funeral Pre-planners and Funeral Directors will answer all your questions.
