Dear Parishioners, Happy Thanksgiving!
This Thanksgiving Weekend gives us an opportunity to acknowledge our blessings and to forge ahead into the future with hope. As a church community and individual members, there is so much to be grateful for, regardless of the challenging pandemic we found ourselves in. I am very much grateful to God for the amazing parish staff we have, the many parishioners who have been back into the pews to worship, those who keep supporting our parish financially in order to lead more people to encounter Jesus, our seniors who are united with us in prayer in their homes, those homebound whom I was able to visit, anoint, bless their homes and pray with them, and the sacraments we have celebrated so far with our school children. I am also grateful for the volunteers we have – Finance and Parish Councils, Ushers, Ministers of Communion, Altar Servers, collection counters, Lectors, choir, RCIA instructors etc – who are filled with a spirit of service, sacrifice, dedication and passion for us to rebuild our parish into a vibrant, welcoming Christ-centered faith community.
I am very grateful to God for the gift of Fr. Ambroise and Deacon Joe who are sharing their ministries with us. I am grateful for the Diocese’s One Heart One Soul Campaign which has given the opportunity to most of our parishioners to contribute to our beloved parish. I hope that we shall realize our goal of revitalizing the parish through the generous contributions.
As we thank God for the many blessings in our lives, may I encourage you to move into the future with hope, passion, dedication, sacrifice, good will and love to help build the parish we want here – a vibrant, welcoming, Christ-centered, disciple nurturing community of faith. Happy Thanksgiving!

Do your children attend public or private school or do you home-school? If you are wondering how to support their ongoing formation in religious education, the Diocese of Hamilton offer programs for every age from Kindergarten to High School, including programs specially designed to assist children preparing for the Sacraments of First Communion and Confirmation. Contact Sybil at 905-528-7988 x2339 or email catechesis@hamiltondiocese.com or visit Catechetical Correspondence Courses – Diocese of Hamilton (hamiltondiocese.com)

If we really believe in something, it does not seem to be a sacrifice to give up everything else to pursue that new dream. Jesus asks the same as any great leader…total dedication; but He promises rewards no one else can promise. “You will have treasure in Heaven, then come, follow Me.” Come, follow the call of Christ as a priest, sister, brother or deacon. If you think God is calling you to one of these, call Fr. Michael King, Director of Vocations, Diocese of Hamilton, 905-528-7988 ext. 2246. If you feel God is calling you, visit https://hamiltondiocese.com/vocations/
