Grace, mercy and Peace be with you!
Building Community: As we all know the parish is a community. This year our aim is to work on building a strong faith community here at St. John. Please let everybody get involved; let’s be welcoming, respectful and nice to all. Let us sing together and respond audibly during Mass. No one should be left behind, let’s all grow in faith together.
Wednesday Stations & Mass: Congratulations to all who participate in our Wednesday Stations of the Cross and Mass. It is gaining great participation and we praise God for it. Let’s keep up and make St. Johns “The Wonderful Parish.”
Lent: A gentle reminder that we are still in Lent and are called to deepen our relationship with God and neighbour through Prayer, fasting and Almsgiving.
Some events to look out for: Summer Kids Bible Camp, Parish Picnic, Presentation on Ghana, Church-Home-School Event, Faith Seminar, African Dinner, Multicultural Feast….etc etc. “It’s gonna be super exciting at St. Johns!” God is good!…All the time!

VOCATION VIEW 4th Sunday of Lent
Jesus came to forgive. Since people continue to sin, we need people who will continue to forgive in Jesus’ way. How about YOU?
Like the forgiving father of Luke’s Gospel, God welcomes us home in spite of our sinfulness, and calls us to a life of holiness. Where are you at home? Are you being called to a life as an ordained or a consecrated person? If you think God is calling you contact Fr. Michael King, Diocese of Hamilton 905-528-7988 ext. 2246. E-mail email@example.com
Sunday Regular Collection: $2,181.00
Loose: $ 251.25

Total: $ 2,874.71
“He said to the gardener, ‘For three years now I have come in search of fruit on this fig tree but have found none”’ Luke 13:7
We can all be like the barren fig tree at times. Do you cling to what you have or do you generously share with others? How will you respond when God asks you what you have done with all the gifts He has given you? Remember, not only are we called to be generous, we are called to develop and nurture our gifts and return with increase.

Follow-up on Previous Events/Initiatives:
1. Priest Portraits: We have framed portraits for Fr. Peter, Fr. Laszlo, and Fr. Andrew, and are looking to hang them in a place where everyone can easily see them.
2. Sacred Heart Shrine: We will be hanging a prayer to the Sacred Heart above the votive candles and are experimenting with a kneeler in front of the candles. Please stop by the shrine, light a candle, say a prayer, and let us know what you think of the arrangement.
3. Parish Library: We would like to start a small parish library. If anyone has any books of a religious or spiritual nature (including children’s books), please leave them under the bookshelf at the King St. entrance. Also, if anyone has a small bookshelf we could use, please let the office know.
4. Introduction to Mass: To continue to foster a sense of community in the parish we will be experimenting with a welcoming introduction to the Mass read by the lectors. Let us know what you think!
5. Altar Server Training Day: All current Altar Servers and anyone who would like to become one are invited to our training day and pizza lunch in the church, on Saturday April 13th, from 9:30 AM-12:00 Noon. Please RSVP with the office.
6. Parish Picnic: We are planning to celebrate our parish feast day by hosting a parish picnic on Sunday, June 23 after Mass. A committee will be organized to further plan this event, and a sign-up sheet will be at the doors of the church in early April. Please consider how you can support this initiative.
