FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK
It is good to be back again. We are grateful to God for His love and protection; and we pray that things get much better for us to experience the fullness of our church life. May we continue to look into the future with hope, trusting that the Lord is in control of our lives. May we find peace in Christ.
I have good news for you. Our parish is blessed to have Deacon Joseph Di Loreto assigned to us. Deacon Joe is a Permanent Deacon who has been married to his wife Maryann for 19years. We look forward to his ministry with us and we welcome him and his wife to our Parish.
Peacefully on May 22, 2021, Rev. Msgr. Paul Boucher passed away at St. Joseph’s Villa. Fr. Paul was Pastor at St. John from 1998 to 2014 when he retired. On behalf of our parish, we extend our prayers and condolences to his family and friends. We pray that Fr. Paul will receive the reward of a good and faithful servant and rejoice in the presence of God for all eternity.
Msgr. Paul Boucher Obituary – Hamilton, ON | P.X. Dermody Funeral Homes (dermodys.com)
We have been working to improve the exterior of our buildings. Over the past few months, overgrown bushes have been removed and new plants and mulch have been added to the gardens on the west side of the Church. We will continue to work throughout the summer.
City crews removed an unhealthy tree from the Edgemont St side of the property. Branches were removed from other trees as well. A new tree will eventually replace the one that was removed.

June is a good time to help your children reflect on the successes and challenges of the past school year. God provides every person with gifts to use in the world and it is good to remind your children that we are called to use our God-given gifts. Ask them to reflect on the gifts they see in themselves and share the gifts you see in them. Help them realize that they are indeed special and have good things to offer to others in their lives.
