ST. JOHN CRAFT GROUP
Beginning in September, the SJB Craft Group will meet one Saturday each month to socialize and create! We invite you to bring your own knitting, quilting etc or join us in our first group project – making sleeping mats for those experiencing homelessness. These mats are woven or crocheted using strips of plastic from the outer bags of milk. Members will be cutting strips, tying strips together to form plarn (plastic bag yarn), and crocheting or weaving strips on a wooden frame. All parishioners can become involved by saving their clean, dry and flattened outer milk bags and dropping them off at the Church. It takes approximately 500 milk bags to make a 3ft by 6ft sleeping mat! If you would like more information, please call the office or speak with Lisa White or Mary Anne Creechan. Our first meeting date will be announced in August.
To assist parishes in rebuilding ministries, the Liturgy Office is offering the following Formation Workshops this fall: Children’s Liturgy of the Word, Minister of the Word, and Extraordinary Minister of Communion. Online registration will soon be available; the cost is $30 per person.
If you have any questions, please contact Deacon John Moss or Maureen Shaw at firstname.lastname@example.org

SYNODALITY: COMMUNION, PARTICIPATION AND MISSION
In March of 2022, in preparation for the upcoming Synod of Bishops, Pope Francis invited everyone to share their experience of faith and thoughts on how we can move forward together to carry out the mission of Christ entrusted to us in Baptism.
Thank you to all who participated in the initial stage of the preparation. Over 2000 submissions were received in the Diocese, including both individual and group responses. These were forwarded as a document entitled “Audito Vocatione” to the Assembly of Ontario Bishops to be included in a summary of responses received from all over Ontario.
